Can you believe it's already Friday? Personally, I'm more than a little excited for the weekend. It has been a long week and I'm looking forward to getting some rest, drinking some coffee, and catching up on the book that I'm currently reading.
During the week, I was wondering what to feature for my Friday Favorites post. Since it is Spring, I figured why not go with my favorite highlighters? I have recently been obsessed with glowy skin (so much so that I've wanted to slather highlighter all over my face, arms, legs etc) so I've really been diving into my highlighter collection & have been able to figure out which ones I love. I forgot to take picture of all of them together, so sorry in advance for that!
Swatches will be at the end of the post. Indoor and outdoor, as usual.
Here are the highlighters I'll be talking about today:
*In no particular order

The first one on this list is Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Bonzer in Ready To Go. Now, this product is meant to be a bronzer, but on my dark skin tone it reads as a gorgeous highlighter. The highlight is not too harsh, and it can build up quite a lot. It gives me the most natural, soft, diffused, candlelit glow, and I'm absolutely in love with it.

Makeup Revolution makes amazing, affordable highlighters. This one was only $6 and as you can tell, I haven't even put a dent in it despite using it multiple times a week.

Next is a cult favorite that I have just recently been introduced to, but has quickly climbed to the top of my favourites list. It is none other than BECCA Cosmetics - Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter in Opal. A few weeks ago, I saw the Glow on the Go Highlighter Set from Sephora. It was only $20 for a mini-sized pressed and liquid highlighter. Of course, unbeknownst to my darling husband, I picked it up (how could I resist?) Fast forward to the present and I use these bad boys every. single. day. Liquid AND pressed.

This is a super tiny itty-bitty size, but it lasts a long time and is VERY pigmented. You do not need a lot! I barely dip my fan brush in this product and I get the prettiest glow! It has lots of shimmer, so if you decide to use more this, it can be perfect for that blinding highlight at night (or during the day, you do you). If you want to use less like I do, it's perfect for that daytime pop.

So itty bitty but so long-lasting!

Yep. Another baked broker from Makeup Revolution. This one is Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Bronzer in Rock On World And yep. On my dark skin tone, it reads, again, as a highlighter. As you can see, this bronzer (highlighter) is allll about that golden/copper glow. Midas can't hold a candle to me while I wear this.

I have to use a little bit of this as a time (hmm. I'm noticing a trend here) because this is just puuuuure copper/golden/glowy/sunkissed richness. I can't recommend this for those with lighter skin tones as a highlighter, because it will be too dark. But for reference, I'm a NW45 in MAC, and this suits me well.

Just like the other MR bronzer, this one is $6 bucks! Incredible value!

Apparently I have a case of the Fridays because I forgot to take a shot of this highlighter closed (please blame it on the lack of sleep and long hours at work and in class!). In it's place, here's pretty picture of it with a few flowers (:
ANOTHER Makeup Revolution highlighter! This one is Makeup Revolution in Pro Illuminate. As you can already tell, I love this affordable brand for highlighters. It's only $7 and the pan is HUGE (as you will see below). It's a light sandy gold that is beautiful for any skin tone.

Just like the product name, this highlighter gives you the prettiest illumination! A true lit from within glow.

Look at the size of that pan! I can barely fit it in my hands!
As promised, here are some indoor and outdoor swatches of the highlighters with the names listed besides them.

Final Thoughts: Would I recommend these colors to everybody? No. Not everybody, but definitely those with darker tones (although lighter tones can definitely rock all colors but Rock On World as a highlight!). These highlighters are affordable, last a long time, have great pigmentation, and give you a GLOW. I have many other highlighters, but these four stay in constant rotation. They are all my go-to's!
Tell me about your favorite highlighter in the comments below! Have you tried these? Do you love them? Hate them? I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Until next Friday!
