Play! by Sephora is my favorite subscription box of all time (aside from FabFitFun, but you'll get a review on that in the summertime). I love getting samples of brands that I know, love, and want to try. I get so excited & love my bag every single month. I have not once been disappointed!

Play! by Sephora is a $10 monthly subscription box (free shipping!) that delivers high-end makeup, haircare, and fragrance in a cute reusable cotton bag. They send out five samples per month, plus one bonus fragrance sample. All of the samples are high-end brands that can be found in-store if you want to purchase the full-size.

Alongside your samples and bag, Play! by Sephora sends you a Play! Pass to redeem in store (50 pts worth), a Play! Book that explains what your products are and tips + tricks on using them, as well as offers Play! Dates, which are sessions with the members on your local Sephora team that show you have to use the samples included in your bag.

Keep in mind that there are often waitlists for this subscription, so click here to see if there's a spot available.

If this sounds right up your alley (like it is mine), keep reading to see what I got this month!

The theme this month was 'Step it Up!' which I thought was cute. I usually reuse these bags as my everyday makeup bags in my drawers, so I'm glad to have some more.

Now, onto the products! I'm super, super excited about some of these and one of them I already love!

Here they are:

Daisy by Marc Jacobs: 0.4 fl oz/ 1.2 ml

I said it before and I'll say it again- I was so excited about this box! Easily my favorite. I made myself stay away from the spoilers and I'm so glad that I did! I was such a nice surprise.

I haven't tried tried this yet (shame on me!) but I've heard amazing things about this cream. I have combo (dry dry dry in the winter, oily in the summer. Right now it's fairly balanced)/ acne-prone skin (again, skin is behaving), so I don't need a moisturizer this intense (plus- (don't you love the excessive use of parentheses?), I have enough moisturizer for me to bathe in. I'll keep this in my sample box), so I won't need anything this heavy for the spring/summer. It's nice to have in my arsenal, though! Here's the product claim:

"Three molecular sizes of hyaluronic acid—a potent hydrator that constantly attracts and retains up to 1,000 times its weight in water from moisture in the atmosphere—helps replenish skin to make it appear more supple, full, and smooth. Ceramides help lock in moisture, ProHyal+® helps improve hydration for healthier-looking skin, and antioxidant-rich elderberry helps defy the look of aging. The appearance of fine lines and wrinkles is visibly reduced, leaving a silky, hydrated, and more youthful-looking complexion."

Come winter, can't wait to try this!

Can a girl have too many black pencil eyeliners? I was very happy to see this in my bag this month! The eyeliner is so, so smooth and lasts for a very long time! I generally don't wear eyeliners on my waterline, so this will be nice on my lash line. It didn't budge, and do you see how black this is? That was just one swipe!

Product claim:

"A pro artist favorite, Aqua XL Eye Pencil Waterproof Liner's superior, long-lasting formula will not smudge, crease, or fade until you remove it. Its innovative formula blends intense, rich color with a super-gliding texture. This versatile liner’s smooth texture effortlessly glides onto lids without skipping or tugging while delivering intense, one-swipe color that lasts all day. Ideally applied with light pressure, this pencil is perfect for creating a tight line or smudging for a shadow effect. Available in 20 shades, it features shades that range from everyday neutrals to bright pastel pops."

I definitely want to pick up more of these! I'd imagine that the vivid colors swatch like a dream.

I let out a squeal when I saw this in my bag. I have been eyeing this product for months! I've been desperate to try it, so I'm so, so happy that I got a nice deluxe sample size of this product!

This is exfoliator took me by surprise, and I'll be honest, I didn't like it at first. The smell is divine (it's green and very minty), but when I rubbed it on my face I didn't feel any exfoliating happening. I thought that it was going to feel like Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion's Exfoliator, but it didn't. I went to bed disappointed...and I woke up glowing. And I'm not talking about any sort of glow. I'm talking about a Hollywood facial/red carpet glow.My skin felt like porcelain. Needless to say, I was very, very pleasantly surprised and this moved up to my favorite exfoliator very quickly. I've used this a few times and I still get the same result every morning!

Here is the product claim for this magical product:

"”The Hollywood 2-minute facial.” Exfoliate and polish skin with ExfoliKate® Intensive Exfoliating Treatment to reveal a glowing, fresh-from-the-clinic complexion. Kate’s bestselling exfoliator is formulated with face scrubbing natural exfoliants to deep clean clogged pores without over-drying skin. Lactic acid and fruit enzymes— papaya, pineapple, and pumpkin—reveal smooth skin and a brighter, healthier-looking complexion in as little as one use. This signature formula works both physically and enzymatically to deliver safe, dramatic results from the comfort of your home."

I can totally see why this is a bestseller and I will definitely be buying a tube of this once my sample is finished.

(some sun came through for this picture!)

Daisy by Marc Jacobs: 0.4 fl oz/ 1.2 ml

This is a sample I wasn't too crazy about. I know a lot of people love this scent, but it just wasn't for me. Too strong and floral-y for my tastes. I'm afraid this may go into my collection of unused perfume samples.

Here's the product claim:

"Enter the world of Daisy: fresh and feminine, with a playful innocence. The heart of Daisy is floral with vintage edge of violet. Sophisticated, with a touch of whimsy, violet captures the eclectic, timeless flavor of Marc Jacobs' groundbreaking feminine designs. Always elegant, always enchanting—but not too serious—Daisy is a sparkling floral bouquet, spirited and fresh, wrapped in comfort and warmth."

Again, this wasn't for me but I'm sure a lot of you that received the same box that I did are very happy to have this!

It's always nice to receive a primer in my subscription boxes. Especially this brand! Thanks to my sub boxes, I'll never have to buy foundation primer again.

I received a travel size of this in my Boxycharm last month (I've since cancelled) and I really enjoy it! It keeps me fresh and matte all day, and doesn't break me out.

Here's the claim:

"Instantly reduce the appearance and fine lines and pores while locking in your makeup looks with the Iconic Photo Finish Foundation Primer. Lightweight and oil-free, it glides on to give you a flawless finish, while antioxidants vitamins A and E and peptides help protect your skin from environmental pollutants, damage, and stress."

Happy to receive another one! I'll always take more makeup primers.

Just like primers, I enjoy trying out new makeup removers! I don't usually wear waterproof eye makeup, but I often use a different remover to take off my eye makeup. Since there is oil in this particular makeup remover, it needs to be shaken before it's used. I didn't use this on my eyes, but I used it to take off the Make Up Forever eyeliner (which is waterproof). I had to scrub a little to get it off, there was residue left over, and it dried my skin out. I may give it another try on my forearm, but I don't think I'll put it close to my face.

Here's the claim:

"This do-it-all formula removes waterproof makeup and contains a lash-strengthening complex that's rich in flavonoids and olive wood extracts."

Not too sure if I'll get through this entire bottle. I may stick to my micellar water.

Final thoughts: I was so, so happy with this bag! I found some favorites in here and received some nice products that I already have or will use in the future. Aside from the perfume and eye makeup remover, I'll use everything! I definitely believe that this was with the $10 charged and can't wait to see what they have next month!

Which bag did you get? Did you love yours as much as I loved mine? I'd love to hear about it!
